Jackmin named senior vice president and New England regional manager at VHB

Watertown, MA VHB has promoted Tom Jackmin, PE, ENV SP, to senior vice president and New England regional manager. Jackmin will lead the region, which accounts for $100 million of the firm’s total revenues, overseeing growth and operations for nine New England locations. He will build on the strong offices that provide integrated land development, transportation, environmental, planning and design, and applied technologies services across markets.

Jackmin takes on the role of New England Regional Manager after serving as Massachusetts Operations Manager. He has dedicated his 27-year career to solving complex engineering challenges and has extensive experience in the planning, design, and management of major transportation infrastructure projects. During his 17 years at VHB, he has led some of New England’s largest and most complex projects, including the recent award-winning MassDOT Rte. 79/I-195 Interchange project in Fall River, Mass. that went beyond rehabilitating critical transportation infrastructure to revitalizing access to the waterfront, improving mobility and dramatically enhancing the community. In addition, Jackmin oversaw the successful design-build of the of East-West Parkway, which unleashed private sector development opportunities at South Weymouth Naval Air Station and LStar’s Union Point. A premier master-planned transit oriented, smart city in Weymouth, Union Point will include 8 million s/f of commercial space; 4,000 residences; 1,000 acres of open space; and 50 miles of trails. Jackmin also served as VHB’s first New England Regional Transportation market lead.
