Bloomfield, CT The property at 36 Tunxis Ave. (Rte. 189), has been sold for $450,000, according to Ron Lyman, CCIM, CEO of Lyman Real Estate. Lyman’s Geri Jacobson was the agent for both the seller, Nicolas B. Caruso Revocable Trust and the buyer, Khalid Mahmood. Caruso’s Auto & Body Service had been at this location for more than 55 years before closing this spring upon the owner’s retirement.

The 0.58 acre property with a 6,968 s/f building had also been the only gas station on Rte. 189 from Hartford to Granby Center. Jacobson said the new owners plan for a huge buildout, adding space for a convenience store at the accessible location.
