Woburn, MA Jefferson Apartment Group (JAG) and joint-venture partner SpringHarbor Financial Group celebrate the end of construction with delivery of the final residential building at J Woburn Heights – a nine-acre multifamily community offering 168 luxury units across four garden-style buildings. 

The community features a freestanding clubhouse flush with resort-living amenities, including a lounge with poker table and fireplace, pool with sundeck, outdoor kitchen with grilling stations and dining areas, outdoor fireplace lounge, and leading-edge fitness center featuring interactive equipment from Peloton and Hydrow. 

Located at 1042 Main St., the community is 10 miles north of Boston along the Rte. 128 technology corridor, recognized as the nation’s largest life science cluster supporting over a half-million jobs. 

“Sitting atop a wooded knoll with views to Boston, J Woburn Heights is a true gem,” said Sandi Silk, senior vice president and development partner with JAG. “Its completion is especially needed as the Boston market deals with the ongoing housing crisis. This class A community brings 168 units to Woburn – with 42 of them earmarked for households at or below 80 percent of AMI under Massachusetts’s affordable housing program.”

The unit mix at J Woburn Heights includes spacious one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den, and two-bedroom floorplans ranging from 752 s/f to 1,206 s/f. They feature premium finishes, including stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, white subway tile backsplash, kitchen islands, sleek plank flooring, nine-foot ceilings, in-unit washer/dryer, and private balconies in every home. 

A smart package room, electric vehicle charging stations, bike storage and resident storage are additional community features.

The community also features a custom public art mural by well-known Boston artist Sophy Tuttle. The outdoor mural pays tribute to the local flora and fauna of Massachusetts and features a Northern flicker and cottontail rabbit among its depictions.

Citizens Bank, N.A. provided the construction loan. The community is managed by JAG Management Company. 

Work began on J Woburn Heights in September 2021, and the first building delivered last summer. JAG’s previous work in the Boston MSA includes J Malden Center – a mixed-use development that transformed Malden with a new City Hall, 320 class A units and 24,000 s/f of retail – and the 2019 acquisition of J VUE at LMA in Boston’s Longwood Medical Area, which completed an extensive amenity and exterior renovation last year.
