JM Electrical Co. and BCM Controls complete security installation

Jamaica Plain, MA JM Electrical Company, Inc. has completed project operations at Bromley Park Apartments, a 25-acre development. JM Electrical installed and wired 36 exterior elevator and common area security cameras in five buildings, as well as antennas enabling wireless communication between these buildings. BCM Controls executed all of the programming associated with the system, and provided each of the security cameras.

“We are happy to have helped increase the security at Mildred C. Hailey Apartments and improve the safety of its residents,” said John Guarracino, project manager at JM Electrical. “The security cameras are a great addition to the apartment complex, deterring crime and helping to monitor the buildings.”

The Mildred C. Hailey Apartments consists of three developments: Heath St., Bromley Park and Bickford St.  The three developments hold 840 apartments, ranging from one-bedroom to five-bedrooms. Managed by the Boston Housing Authority, the apartments offer affordable living spaces for low- and moderate-income families and individuals.

“It’s important for residential communities to have advanced security systems,” said Steve Feinberg, president at BCM Controls. “We were pleased to work with JM Electrical’s skilled team to ensure optimum security services for the residents of Mildred C. Hailey Apartments.”

There are many amenities surrounding the apartments including a Super Stop & Shop as well as other businesses and restaurants in nearby Jackson Sq., Hyde Square and Egleston Sq. The complex has on-site resident parking and is a five minute walk from the Jackson Sq. train station on the Orange Line.

Jay Colleton, JM Electrical’s foreman on the project, oversaw up to four electricians on the construction and day-to-day operations to ensure that this project was completed on time and on budget.

JM Electrical has more than 30 years of experience and expertise in the installation of advanced control and automation systems which have been the foundation of the business. The company has completed multiple large-scale installations in the Greater Boston Area recently, including those done at Boston Landing, Partners HealthCare and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
