Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. completes another lease at The Rutherford of Blue Back Sq. MRI of Farmington Ave., LLC, signed a lease for 2,167 s/f of first class medical office space. The space will serve as an additional location, and will be doing business as MRI at Blue Back Sq.  The 128,000 s/f medical office building in Blue Back Sq. is part of the 600,000 s/f mixed-use development owned by Blue Back Sq., LLC.
Jones Lang LaSalle associates Christopher Ostop, senior vice president; Shawn McMahon, senior vice president; Gary Schless, vice president; and Sean O'Neil, assistant vice president represented the owner. The tenant was represented by Jay Morris, managing partner of OR Commercial, LLC.  
The Rutherford is located at 65 Memorial Rd. with immediate access to I-84. This medical facility is situated amidst a dynamic mix of new luxury condominiums, rental apartment lofts, class A professional office space and numerous top rated retail shops and restaurants. Blue Back Square is an extension of West Hartford Center, a popular pedestrian-friendly shopping and dining district that presently consists of nearly 200 upscale national, regional and local shops, restaurants and a Whole Foods Market.
Blue Back Sq. includes approximately 300,000 s/f of additional retail including New York Sports Clubs; 168,000 s/f of professional and medical office space; 59 luxury condominiums and 48 rental apartment lofts. Ronus Properties of Atlanta, Ga., Street-Works of White Plains, N.Y., and JDA Development of West Hartford, developed the project.
The MRI facility at Blue Back Square will offer State of the Art Technology that is complimented by the utmost in patient comfort and care.  While having the capability to perform the most advanced studies, including MRI of the Breast, Breast Biopsies and MR guided needle localizations, the MRI facility at Blue Back Square will offer patients the comfort that only a Wide Scanner can provide. The extra wide opening of the scanner can make a difference for patients of all ages especially since each patient's body is different in shape and size.  The MRI facility at Blue Back Square will make it possible for patients up to 550 pounds to possibly have MRI services as well as provide a solution for patients who are claustrophobic, have claustrophobic like syndrome or simply do not like the feeling of being "closed in".  With the addition of the MRI facility, Blue Back Square will offer a wide range of radiology services. Radiology services are currently provided by the Imaging Center of West Hartford. All imaging services will be conveniently located on the 5th floor adjacent to the surgery center.
