Jones Lang LaSalle Const. completes Peabody Office showroom/display area

Jones Lang LaSalle Construction has completed work as the general contractor for the new showroom and display areas of Peabody Office at 234 Congress St. The first floor and basement space features pre-built office configurations, several lines of architectural walls, smart applications, window displays, and meeting areas. Designed by CBT Architects, the Peabody Office Showroom includes a relocated entry with a new reception area, and a mix of working environments. The centerpiece of the first floor is a café which also accommodates casual meetings. A steel clad stair connects the two floors and serves as a backdrop for the window display area. The lower level includes an informal multi-purpose area which allows for social gatherings and industry events. Reclaimed wood, cork flooring, and other finishes in the space reflect an eco-friendly sensibility. "It was a pleasure working with the Jones Lang LaSalle team," said Stephen Peabody, chief operating officer of Peabody Office. "We are getting very positive feedback from clients and visitors about the exciting new showcase space." According to Jones Lang LaSalle managing director Steve Wassersug: "This was a great collaborative effort among Jones Lang LaSalle and the entire Peabody Office team. We produced a truly customized contemporary end-product that reflects the wide variety of their products and layouts, and fulfilled their vision."
