Klemmer Associates sole broker in $1.4 million sale of Ipswich Chronicle building

Klemmer Associates, LLC, was the sole broker in the $1.4 million purchase of the former Ipswich Chronicle building at 2 Washington St. The building will be occupied by EBSCO Publishing, one of the world's premier database aggregators.    EBSCO has grown to more than 750 local employees since moving to town in 1996 and currently has more than 1,000 total employees located around the globe. Finding additional space within town has been a priority for the company as it plans for the future. 2 Washington St. will provide EBSCO with more than 19,000 s/f of office space and about 90,000 s/f of land. The company sees the property as potential site for a new, larger building, should the company's growth require it. EBSCO president, Tim Collins, said as the company continues to create and acquire new products to serve the needs of researchers, the need for space also grows, "We are always moving forward as a company but the fact remains that growing a business also requires physical space. Being able to expand within the town is the best of all possible solutions. The space will help us plan for future expansion while keeping our campus within the local environs."
