Kohl's opens at Gateway
Despite the current economic climate, progress continues at Gateway, the first major investment (over $100 million) and construction project on Post Rd. since the Navy pulled out of Quonset over 30 years ago.
Recently a grand opening was held for Kohl's.
Managing director of Quonset Development Corp. Steven King and town council president Ed Cooney were joined by state representative Larry Ehrhardt and town manager Michael Embury at the ribbon cutting.
A new Dave's Marketplace is being built next to Kohl's, and is planned to be open in the spring.
