LaRossa of Tocci Building receives CCIFP designation

Chief business performance officer (CBPO) Robert LaRosa of Tocci Building Companies, (Tocci), received the title of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP). The Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals (ICCIFP) is a national organization dedicated to promoting excellence and best practices in construction financial management, and its CCIFP designation is the sole industry-recognized certification acknowledging a financial professional's understanding of the unique business of construction. The ICCIFP outlines three requirements for candidates to meet in order to be eligible for CCIFP certification: formal education, extensive professional experience in the construction industry, and verification of work experience. With 25 years of experience in the construction industry, a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Eastern Nazarene College, and an MBA in Finance from Bentley College, LaRosa's reputation as a successful financial professional in the business of construction precedes him. Most recently, LaRosa was awarded the Boston Business Journal's 2013 CFO of the Year Award, recognizing his impressive contributions as CBPO to Tocci over the past year. Commenting on LaRosa's recent certification, John Tocci, chief enabling officer of Tocci Bldg. said, "We are very proud of Bud for having received the CCIFP certification; he continues to demonstrate his outstanding capability as CBPO of the company." With only 16 CCIFP certificate holders in Massachusetts, LaRosa will join an exclusive group of financial professionals in the construction industry. "The completion of the CCIFP certificate not only shows Bud's high level of commitment to his position, but also a natural ability to take initiative and continue his own professional education," said Tocci. The CCIFP designation gives certified professionals a powerful edge in a competitive field and better prepares firms and individuals to meet challenges; particularly as construction industry financial management becomes more complex. LaRosa understood these benefits, and by earning the designation he has once again furthered Tocci's exceptional reputation. LaRosa said, "Tocci maintains high standards of excellence within the construction industry, and as CBPO I strive to do the same by constantly improving my professional skills and pursuing opportunities that will advance the firm."
