Chelmsford, MA Senior advisor Alan Litchfield of O’Brien Commercial Properties, Inc. (OCP) has brokered the sale of a 125,000 s/f building. Litchfield represented the seller, Realty Professionals, Inc., during the transaction which closed earlier this month.

The building at 63 Middlesex St. dates back to 1898. Originally built as part of the George C. Moore Co., the property served as a wool fiber processing and yarn spinning plant. In 1912 it was sold to United States Worsted Company, and again in 1931 to Southwell Combing Company.

The Frank G.W. McKittrick Co. later acquired the property in 1959 and used the building for its offices and warehousing parts and machinery. To meet the growing demand for office and warehouse space in the Merrimack Valley, vacant space was repurposed and rented out and is the use of the building today.

The five-story brick building situated on 1.45 acres was purchased by Triple M Movers of Brockton, MA.
