MacDonald joins NeighborWorks as chief financial officer

Quincy, MA NeighborWorksHousing Solutions (NHS), the leading housing service provider in southern Massachusetts, has named Christine MacDonald as chief financial officer.

In this executive role, she will continue to lead the financial department of NHS, allowing the non-profit organization to grow and deliver on its mission to develop, build, and manage safe and affordable homes, and provide housing resources and education in collaboration with its partners in the public and private sectors. MacDonald will manage the complex multiple revenue streams, and also manage the financial reporting to various stakeholders, including the board, federal, state, and private funders. 

MacDonald joins NHS with more than 23 years of experience in public practice as a director, providing auditing and consulting services for nonprofit community development corporations and health and human service organizations in conjunction with their for-profit affordable rental real estate entities. She brings significant knowledge in nonprofit accounting.

 and will help position the organization financially for future growth and expansion.

A graduate of Stonehill College with a BSBA in accounting, MacDonald is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is well known within the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and affordable housing industries.
