Machado joins Antinozzi as senior project architect

Bridgeport, CT Antinozzi Associates has hired Emanuel Machado, AIA, as a senior project architect. He has more than 20 years of architectural design experience throughout Conn., N.Y., and Boston, working on projects of considerable customization and technical detail with budgets ranging from $250,000 to $35 million. His prior experience includes serving as lead bid and construction administration services for DeCarlo & Doll in Meriden, as well as other various roles including owner’s representative, expert legal witness, and on-site project representative.

His work on the restoration of Waterbury city hall was the subject of an exhibit at Connecticut’s Mattatuck Museum titled “Restoring and Reclaiming: Waterbury’s City Hall,” which received recognition and awards from Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, Engineering News-Record, Connecticut Building Congress, and the New England Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art.

In addition to his professional experience, he volunteers his knowledge and expertise to various community organizations. He has served as a guest critic at the University of Bridgeport and the Boston Architectural College, guided a fifth grade class to a first place award from AIA CT for their CANstruction design, and is a frequent guest at “Career Days” for Trumbull Public Schools. In 2017, he was selected from a nationwide pool of candidates to serve on the National Council of Architect Registration Board’s “Think Tank” committee. 

He now currently serves as a licensing advisor for NCARB and mentors ARE Exam candidates.
