Gerry Matthews and Ed Godin of Matthews Commercial Properties brokered the sale of 83 Prospect St. to Waterbury Youth Service System, Inc. The building is a free standing 19,032 s/f office building. It was formerly occupied by the State of Connecticut as the Juvenile Judicial Court House as well as the Department of Labor. Waterbury Youth Service System, Inc. is a private non-profit organization whose roots reach back 31 years in Waterbury. They are dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth in the Greater Waterbury area. The sale was made possible with the cooperation and grants through the mayor's office as well as Waterbury Development Corporation. The property was sold for $1.6 million. The seller was TC3 LLC.
