CB Richard Ellis has negotiated the relocation of Updike Kelly & Spellacy (UKS), from One State St. to the top two floors at 100 Pearl St., a lease totaling 25,000 s/f. The space will serve as the new headquarters for the firm, a full service Hartford-based law firm, and one of the most prominent law firms in Conn.
John McCormick of CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant, while Michael Puzzo, also of CB Richard Ellis, represented the landlord The Silverman Group.
100 Pearl St. is a 17-story Class A office building totaling 281,000 s/f. The property, easily identified by its distinctive blud-glass facade, is home to a number of prestigious corporate tenants including Guilford Specialty Group, Virtus Investment Partners, Robert Half International, Trust Company of Connecticut, and Goldberg Segalla.
Under new ownership since 2008, the building has undergone significant capital improvements including renovations to the building lobby and common areas as well as the addition of a new cafeteria, conference center, updated art gallery and updated building systems, with more renovations planned.
