McKeown named CEO of Woodard & Curran

According to Albert Curran, co-founder of Woodard & Curran, Douglas McKeown has been appointed chief executive officer, succeeding Curran in the role he has held for the past 30 years. Mckeown was named to his new post at the firm's board of directors meeting, and then immediately shared with the firm's 500 employees. McKeown joined Woodard & Curran in 1992 as head of business development for the firm's operations and management business, where he played an instrumental role in that business's startup and success. In 1996 he was elected to the position of senior VP and became the firm's first director of marketing, a position he held from 1999 to 2002. In 2002 he returned to the firm's operations and management business center, operating nearly 50 treatment facilities nationwide, including one of the world's largest water reuse facility, located in Winter Garden, Fl. McKeown has been a member of the firm's board of directors since 2001, chairing both the finance and the business and market leadership committees. Curran also will serve as the chairman of the board of directors. In that role he will support the CEO on special projects and focus on client development and external marketing activities.
