Meade appointed to director of property loss consulting at DeSimone

New Haven, CT DeSimone Consulting Engineers appointed Charles Meade as director of its new property loss consulting service. Meade is a successful and distinguished leader who will oversee the strategic growth and management of the day-to-day operation of the firm’s domestic and international PLC team, encompassing both pre and post-loss services. The firm’s new PLC division will allow DeSimone to assist existing clients long after its design and construction support services have been completed.

During the past 15 years, Meade has consulted on numerous projects ranging from the everyday to the catastrophic. He has developed and managed teams responding to hurricanes, tornadoes, structural collapses, building envelope and curtain wall failures, fires, and a variety of other common and complex property loss scenarios. He has worked on projects totaling in excess of $2.7 billion in more than 18 countries.

Meade will be responsible for the development and expansion of the firm’s pre-loss risk assessment and mitigation programs for natural and man-made hazards, focusing on providing clients with strategies to offset both physical and financial risks.
