Meade of Boston Redevelopment Authority welcomes it firm CareCloud to Innovation District

CareCloud, a Miami-based healthcare IT company, celebrated the opening of its first Boston office in the Innovation District. BRA director Peter Meade, on behalf of mayor Thomas Menino, joined CareCloud CEO Albert Santalo, and CareCloud chief technology officer, John Walsh, at the celebration. "I want to congratulate CareCloud on their beautiful new office and welcome them to our booming Innovation District. Thanks to the work of the LifeTech Boston team, CareCloud is on track to thrive in the growing life sciences and healthcare technology cluster along the South Boston Waterfront," said Menino CareCloud, one of the fastest growing healthcare IT companies in the U.S., is providing the latest in cloud-based practice management, electronic health record (EHR) and medical billing software and services to medical groups. CareCloud chose Boston because of its established healthcare ecosystem, talent pool, and unmatched local government support. The company employs a total of 160 employees and grew over 140% in the last year. CareCloud's Boston office will grow from 14 employees to 35-50 employees this year and 100 employees by the end of 2014. LifeTech Boston was instrumental in helping CareCloud find its new home, in joining Boston's business community, and in recruiting and creating jobs - critical for sustaining its record growth.
