Mercier joins Acella Const. as controller

Christine Mercier

Pembroke, MA Acella Construction Corp. has hired Christine Mercier as controller. In this role, Mercier will lead the company’s accounting department, guiding the firm and ensuring appropriate financial positioning as it continues on its high-growth trajectory. She will review financial statements and oversee the human resources area including payroll and employee benefits, while working with HR to establish and communicate human resource policies. Mercier will also be responsible for audit preparation and cash management oversight. 

Previously, Mercier has worked in the construction industry dating back to 2006, developing her skills in accounting operations, accounting best practices, payroll, budget and cost control, and staff development. She has completed a financial accounting program at Northeastern University, and holds a notary public certificate and bookkeeping certificate (HCT).

“Christine is an exceptional leader and will help us implement the best practices for financial and project accounting, crucial for us as we continue to grow,” said Dave Dirubbo, founder and president of Acella Construction Corporation. “Christine’s experience at a larger firm is invaluable to our organization as we implement her knowledge in managing customized work in progress reports, and cash management strategies essential to our growth.
