Milestone reached at Green Airport's terminal project
Last month marked a milestone in the T.F. Green Airport Terminal Improvement Project with the official opening of two new passenger deplaning ramps that will lead arriving passengers from the second floor concourse area down to the first floor baggage claim area and terminal exit. The event was an important step in the $83.5 million project aimed to improve security procedures, enhance concessions, minimize congestion and ease circulation.
Terminal improvements will continue through year's end with the relocation of the In-Line Explosive Detection System (EDS) Baggage Handling System from the centrally located lobby to a new area behind the scenes.
In the final installment of the project, new restaurants and shops are scheduled to open this winter on both levels and in both pre-security and post-security areas. New dining and shopping options include Starbucks, Borders, Providence Oyster Bar, Johnny Rockets, and Brooks Brothers.
Wallingford, CT O,R&L Commercial has completed the $3.8 million sale of a mixed-use investment property located at 33-39 North Main St. and 24-25 Wallace Ave. in the town center.
Now what? As the year comes to a close, the state of retail is always in the news. The answers vary greatly depending on who in the various related industries you ask, each offering a unique lens on the challenges and opportunities ahead.
This may seem self-serving, and I’ll be the first to admit it. But unlike some of the artificial intelligence tools now reshaping our industry, I am fully aware of my own bias. So, hear me out. The rise of AI in commercial real estate is not a distant threat or a speculative headline.
