Miller joins Calkain Companies New England operations in Boston

Calkain Companies recently added Robert Miller to its New England operation. His primary focus is on raising inexpensive equity for corporate clients that own real estate through structuring sale-leaseback transactions of their core properties and selling their non-essential real estate. He will be based in Calkain's New England office in order to grow this segment of the company's business, nationally. Prior to joining Calkain Companies, Miller was national director of corporate sale-leasebacks at Sperry Van Ness and was the co-founder of Great Cove Advisors. Miller's career is a combination of sophisticated institutional acquisitions, developments and financings with hands-on entrepreneurial developments and real estate services. Earlier in his career, Miller was the head of real estate development in New England for Prudential. He had a direct role in the acquisition and development of properties with a current market value of more than $1 billion. Miller received his bachelor of arts from Trinity College. Additionally, he studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and acquired an MBA from Suffolk University. He has led seminars at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and taught real estate classes at Boston Architectural College. Lastly, Miller managed the Private-Sector Development program at the Boston Society of Architects. "Calkain is very excited to have Bob become part of our growing team. His expertise in sale-leaseback transactions brings a wealth of experience to our clients and allows Calkain to continue its endeavor of leadership among net lease brokerage firms," said president and CEO Jonathan Hipp. Calkain Companies is a boutique commercial real estate brokerage firm which specializes in assisting buyers and sellers with single and multi-tenant retail, industrial, hotel and office net leased transactions.
