New Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Logan Airport/Chelsea now open

The new Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Logan Airport/Chelsea is now open. The new LEED targeted Residence Inn, with 5 stories and 128 suites is one of only two hotels in Chelsea, and its first new hotel in over 10 years. The hotel is located minutes off of Rte. 1 - connected to the metropolitan highway system and minutes from Logan International Airport and downtown Boston. As an extended stay hotel the new Residence Inn by Marriott caters to business travels such as those conducting long term training and long distance relocation. Business or Leisure guests to Boston and the surrounding areas will find eco-friendly spacious suites all featuring full kitchens, separate sleeping, living and work spaces, as well as an indoor heated saltwater pool and fitness center. High speed wired and wireless internet, a non-smoking policy and a pets-allowed policy make this new hotel an inviting option for travel into the Boston area. Construction began on the hotel in August 2011, and was designed and built with the goal of becoming the first LEED certified Residence Inn in the greater Boston region. This criteria makes it the perfect choice for Government-related conferences and travel that requires utilization of a LEED Certified facility, or for guests who are looking for an environmentally friendly venue. Regional & recycled materials have been used in construction, and environmentally beneficial strategies include the use of white roofing, deploying water efficient landscaping, and promoting alternate transportation. The hotel's environmental design plans to reduce water usage, utilize optimized energy management systems, provide enhanced indoor air quality and ventilation, and utilize "Green Cleaning" practices, benefiting both its guests and the environment. Its ideal proximity to both Downtown Boston and Logan International Airport provides welcome convenience out of the competitive price tier of Boston proper without sacrificing service, amenities, or style. The refined urban décor includes unexpected and distinctive custom finishes and the oversized windows fill the entire lobby and versatile function space with natural light. Both business and leisure travelers will discover a home away from home at the spectacular new Residence Inn Boston Logan Airport/Chelsea.
