MKDA Stamford office celebrates 6th anniversary

August 16, 2012 - Connecticut
According to corporate interiors firm MKDA, recently named an Interior Design Giant by Interior Design magazine, it's Stamford office has reached its sixth anniversary. With substantial year-to-year growth, the Stamford office has also expanded into adjacent space and added design professionals on all levels.
"The Stamford office, under the direction of executive managing director Julia Lindh, has performed well throughout the nation's economic crisis," said MKDA president Michael Kleinberg. "This success has been due in large part to exceptional work and the ability to maximize repeat and referral business. We expect this location to thrive for many years to come."
Since opening in 2006, MKDA's Stamford office has been designing projects for landlords such as Normandy and George Comfort & Sons, as well as corporate brands such as Design Within Reach and Guggenheim Partners, which hired MKDA to design an office at The Centre at Purchase in Westchester and its new 192,000 s/f headquarters, a project currently underway in New York City. MKDA also designed a new White Plains, N.Y. headquarters for repeat client Heineken USA that recently achieved LEED-CI Gold Certification.
"Our success is due in large part to our senior team's hands-on approach and our commitment to seeing projects through to completion," said MKDA executive managing director Julia Lindh, RA.
In addition to celebrating its sixth anniversary, the Stamford office recently added design personnel and expanded its offices into adjacent space. Located at 62 Southfield Road, the office has been fitted with a new lighting scheme, additional workstations, hoteling space for clients and visitors from MKDA's Headquarters, and an expanded resource library, which provides added space for successfully presenting ideas to clients.
"With additional design professionals and office space, we are equipped to continue growing our real estate and corporate clientele across Fairfield and Westchester Counties," added Lindh, "while maintaining our core value of providing hands-on, senior-level involvement."
