According Fort Point Project Management (FPPM), a provider of real estate project management and relocation services, its co-founder, Christine Mosholder, has won NEWiRE's 2013 Entrepreneur of the Year award. In addition to co-founding Fort Point PM, Mosholder also founded The Furniture Trust, a 501(c)3 non-profit, dedicated to keeping commercial furniture out of landfills and reinvesting it back into the local community.
The award ceremony took place at The Fairmont Copley Plaza where 14 women were honored for their achievements. While accepting her award, Mosholder talked about surrounding herself with positive people like her husband, her business partner, Steve Fox, and her industry friends. Their influence and ongoing support, coupled with a willingness to take "a leap of faith" have been key to her success. While Christine brought the room to tears with her clear passion for what she does and those who have helped her along the way, she closed with a piece of advice to aspiring entrepreneurs: "when you're offered a seat on a rocket, just take it."
