Dartmouth Building Supply's new millwork and warehouse building - Dartmouth, MA

Munro Solar has completed one of the largest single solar arrays in Massachusetts which will save their customer over $4,000 a month in energy costs. In less than five weeks the bare corrugated roof of Dartmouth Building Supply's 54,000 s/f millwork and warehouse building was transformed into a 201,600 DC watt solar powerhouse. The system is expected to save DBS over $1.2 million in energy costs over the 25 year life of the system while offsetting 3,933 tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere.
Munro Solar supplied all the necessary components, including 960 Suntech panels, two Solectria inverters, and the UniRac SolarMount racking system. Solar Installation Limited co-designed and installed the system and also obtained all the necessary permitting and state, federal and Mass. Technology Collaborative grants. The system is expected to pay for itself within five years.
The advances in solar technology have enabled Massachusetts' solar industry to flourish while other energy sources are quickly becoming less viable. Systems such as these are one of the answers to volatile energy costs, dwindling fossil fuel supplies and do not impact our environment. It is a clean, reliable and simple long term solution that adds tremendous value to your business or commercial facility.
Munro Solar, is a division of Munro Distributing, and is based out of Raynham. They have provided the solar components for some the largest commercial, municipal and private projects in the state. Solar Installation Limited is based in Brockton, Mass. and is quickly becoming the premier installation firm for large scale projects.
