A city landmark has been sold for $650,000. Tinty's Furniture store, an anchor on Memorial Blvd. from 1928 until 2010, was purchased recently by Mothe Realty of Manchester. The new owner of the 28,000 s/f facility will turn 8,000 s/f into a package store and lease the remainder of the space to other commercial tenants.
Bernard Mussman of Mussman Associates of Farmington was the broker in the deal, representing the estate of Donald Tinty. Attorney Robert Scalise of New Britain represented the seller, and attorney Brian Silver of New Britain represented the buyer.
In another transaction, 75 Neal Court LLC acquired 75 Neal Court, Plainville, a 245,000 s/f steel assembly plant, from Sowanco 25 Ltd. for $1.2 million located on 11 acres of land. Colliers International represented the seller and Bernard Mussman Associates LLC represented the buyer.
