Cam Marston, a nationally renowned motivational speaker, will be speaking June 5th at the Granite Links Golf Club in the Grand Ball Room in Quincy, Mass. Marston is the leading expert on the impact of generational characteristics and differences in the workplace and marketplace. As an author, columnist, blogger, and lecturer, he imparts a clear understanding of how generational demographics are changing the landscape of business. Marston and his firm, Generational Insights, have provided research and consultation on generational issues to hundreds of companies and professional groups, ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations, as well as major professional associations, for over 15 years. Senator Joyce is serving his eighth term in the Senate, representing the Norfolk, Bristol and Plymouth district. Senator Joyce serves on several senate committees including Ways and Means, Economic Development & Emerging Technologies, Elder Affairs and Transportation Committees, the Committee on Bonding, Capital Expenditures and State Assets, as well as serving as the senate vice chair of the Healthcare Financing Committee and vice chair of the Financial Services Committee. He was also appointed to the special Probation Reform Working Group. Senator Joyce has a well-deserved reputation for working hard on behalf of the communities he represents and the people he serves. While focusing much of his current efforts on economic expansion initiatives, senator Joyce's priorities include housing, job creation, public safety, education, fiscal discipline and issues impacting senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Although many state economies are still in financial crisis from the economic down turn late in 2008. The Massachusetts economy is showing signs of improvement. The state economy is lucky to have the diverse and resilient medical, technological and education institutions. Senator Joyce addressed recent legislative initiatives passed in the state including alimony reform and gambling. Expanding gambling in the state has been a serious consideration for many years. It was a matter of when and under what circumstances the expansion would take shape. Gambling will bring a significant amount of income to the state and create many new jobs. On May 3rd a group of 26 members of IREM Boston visited the New Hampshire State House for a tour of the historic building and lesson on the N.H. political system. During the tour IREM members had the opportunity to meet with several state representatives a senator and a special meet and great with governor Lynch. After the tour IREM members networked at Tandy's Top shelf across for the capital. Tandy's has an excellent buffet and the members enjoyed the food and social setting.
