state representative Jason Rojas along with project team members, and guests.

East Hartford, CT National Development managing partners Ed Marsteiner and Andrew Gallinaro joined federal, state and local elected officials and other invited guests for a groundbreaking ceremony on the site of the East Hartford Logistics Center at Rentschler Field.

Each building in the two-building, 2.5 million s/f first phase has been leased, with one to a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company and another to a Fortune 300 company.

The project, part of the larger East Hartford Logistics & Technology Park at RentschlerField, is expected to create up to 400 construction jobs and will generate up to 1,000 permanent positions from the initial phase alone and $4 million in new tax revenue annually. A limited liability company affiliated with National Development purchased the 300-acre site from Pratt & Whitney corporate parent, Raytheon Technologies Corp. in January. The land historically served as Pratt & Whitney’s on-campus airfield.

National Development plans to build an additional 200,000 s/f in the front of the park for high tech and/or specialty manufacturing tenancy. Work on the logistics center buildings is expected to be completed in summer 2024.
