NB Development Group and HYM Investment Group break ground on Boston Bruins practice facility at Boston Landing

The Boston Bruins and the Boston Landing development team hosted an official groundbreaking ceremony for the new Bruins practice facility at 20 Guest St. Bruins principal Charlie Jacobs, Bruins president Cam Neely, mayor Marty Walsh, chairman of New Balance Jim Davis, managing director for NB Development Group Jim Halliday, and managing director for the HYM Investment Group Tom O'Brien participated in the ceremony.
The new home practice and training complex for the Boston Bruins includes: 75,000 s/f of ice arena use and available for public skating and hockey; 175,000 s/f of office space and 12,000 s/f of retail space.
The development of Boston Landing is a joint venture of NB Development Group LLC and the HYM Investment Group LLC.
The project team includes Elkus Manfredi Architects, John Moriarty & Assoc., Transwestern|RBJ and CBRE/Grossman Realty Advisors.
Boston Landing, a 15-acre parcel in the Allston-Brighton neighborhood, is where New Balance is building its 250,000 s/f world headquarters with a target date for a September 2015 move-in. Plans are in place for development of a hotel, a sports complex, residential units, public accessible open space and renovations to the South Parking Garage, improvements to local roadways and public transportation, including a new commuter rail station along the Framingham/Worcester line ending in South Station.
