The annual program to recognize the state's top employers is sponsored by the Hartford Business Journal, the Connecticut Better Business Bureau, and Best Companies Group. There is a two-part process used to determine the companies awarded the recognition of Best Places to Work in Connecticut. The first part consists of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consists of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determines the top companies and the final ranking.
