June 05, 2008 - Owners Developers & Managers
The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) is delighted to welcome Luke Falk as the new chair for NESEA's 34th Building Energy Conference and Trade Show. BE09 will return to Boston's Seaport World Trade Center on March 10 - 12, 2009.
NESEA's Building Energy Conference and Trade Show includes three days of in-depth workshops and sessions, networking, a public forum and an extensive trade show. The Conference has consistently offered innovative solutions and cutting-edge advice on how to achieve major reductions in energy consumption. For 34 years, it has been at the forefront of education about the importance and value of energy-efficiency and renewable energy use. Building Energy is recommended for architects, engineers, builders, building systems designers and owners, facility managers, climate change professionals, developers, investors, policy makers, real estate professionals, planners, municipal and building code officials, sustainability coordinators and students.
Falk currently works at the N.Y. State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), in Albany. He develops and manages technical aspects and policy direction of one of the nation's largest, state-funded energy efficiency programs for multifamily buildings. He also develops and manages N.Y. state's $4.7 million Green Affordable Housing program.
Conference director Sandra Thomas, RN, said, "Luke's leadership in green building policy and his technical expertise will play a big role in the development of exciting new sessions and workshops at BE09."
