Network Drive at Northwest Park in Burlington is booming with tenant activity

Burlington is continuing to emerge as the 'capital city' of Rte. 128 as it welcomes yet another high-profile tenant. According to Nordblom Company and Nordic Properties, e-Dialog has chosen Network Drive at Northwest Park as the location for its new global headquarters, and will soon be moving from Lexington in order to accommodate its growth. e-Dialog, a provider of advanced e-mail and database marketing services, has signed a lease for 47,426 s/f of first class office space at 65 Network Dr. where it will occupy the entire fourth floor of the building. "We believe this is a leading office campus on the Rte. 128 beltway, and are pleased to be moving our base of operations to Network Drive," said John MacPhee, chief financial officer of e-Dialog. "The first class setting and dynamic work environment will be very helpful to attract and retain talented employees as we continue to grow and maintain our status as one of the top places to work in the region." Network Drive at Northwest Park consists of 1.4 million s/f of buildings and undeveloped land - specifically 805,000 s/f of existing office space in six buildings and 570,000 s/f of permitted land between three parcels. The 158-acre former Sun Microsystems campus was sold to Nordblom Company and its investment affiliate, Nordic Properties, for $212 million in 2007. Since that time, Jones Lang LaSalle has driven a marketing program to unveil the campus as a prominent business destination to a new audience of commercial tenants, the real estate industry and the general business community.  Built to institutional standards with an unmatched infrastructure, the buildings at Network Drive feature quality finishes throughout. The campus is dynamic, encouraging interaction among tenants in the Amenities Center and within the beautifully landscaped grounds. The overall infrastructure is modern and robust, boasting redundant power feeds from Burlington and Bedford, large back-up generators, and covered loading docks. Large tenants may take advantage of the campus' ample contiguous space, facilities for large company functions and signage opportunities for corporate identity. Network Drive at Northwest Park has quickly become a modern world class office park. In November of 2008, Exa Corporation moved into 66,000 s/f of space at 55 Network Dr. to relocate and expand its worldwide corporate headquarters. Additionally, Nordblom Development Company is currently constructing a 132,000 s/f corporate headquarters location for Palomar Medical Technologies, Inc. This Class A office building is slated to open in 2010. "Burlington, with its superior infrastructure and amenity package, is clearly the location of choice for growing companies like e-Dialog. This, together with the quality of the space offered at Network Drive at Northwest Park, gives companies and their employees a dynamic environment to grow and succeed. The campus offers the right mix of individual corporate identity and a sense of community for their people. We are pleased to cement Network Drive at Northwest Park's position as a thriving corporate headquarters destination," said Adele Olivier of Nordblom Company. The Network Drive campus is part of the Nordblom-owned Northwest Park, a 285-acre mixed-use master-planned development, which has been designated as a development-ready Growth District by the state. Situated between the Middlesex Tpke. and Rte. 3, near the intersection of Rtes. 128 and 3, Northwest Park is fully-permitted for more than 4.5 million s/f of commercial and residential space, including up to 600,000 s/f of retail, liquor licenses for 10 restaurants, 300 units of housing, and more.  Plans for the Park include development of a contemporary, lively, pedestrian-centric, mixed-use community of Class A office space, retail shops, housing, and outdoor cafes - all centered around and anchored by significant new public space.  Northwest Park offers several development-ready build-to-suit corporate headquarters opportunities as well, and boasts its prominent location in a thriving business and retail corridor with over 4 million s/f of amenities - the most in Greater Boston.  Along with Network Drive's leasing activity, Northwest Park has recently concluded several lease renewals including 10,422 s/f for National Grid at 62 Second Ave., 7,496 s/f for Redshift at 41 Second Ave., and 89,500 s/f for Z Corporation at 32 Second Ave.  For more information about Network Drive at Northwest Park, visit www.networkdriveburlington.com.
