New England Retail Properties and Marcus & Millichap sell 21,600 s/f

A freestanding Barnes & Noble in the West Farms Mall section was purchased by Raymour & Flanigan Properties, LLC. The property consists of a 21,600 s/f building. Barnes & Noble will continue to operate in the property as they have for the past twenty years. The buyer was represented by Matt Halprin, principal of New England Retail Properties, Inc., a Wethersfield, Conn. retail real estate brokerage firm. The seller was represented by LA Drinkwater and Seth Richards of Marcus & Millichap (Boston and New York offices). New England Retail Properties has been in business since 1987 and exclusively represents millions of s/f of retail space, along with several national retail tenants in all of the major markets of the Northeast.

Goldberg of Spire Investments purchases Beverly portfolio for $9.2m

Beverly, MA Jay Goldberg, president and owner of Spire Investments has completed the purchase of four multifamily buildings. The 33-unit purchase amounted to a sale price of $9.2 million or $278,788 per unit. The properties are all located in downtown and consist of one- and two-bedroom units.
