New England Retail Properties, Inc. breaks ground at 150 New London Rd.

According to New England Retail Properties, Inc., construction of Tractor Supply has commenced at 150 New London Rd. The property is located off of Rtes. 2 and 11, easily servicing surrounding markets in addition to Colchester. This 23-acre site will be anchored by a new Tractor Supply Company retail store. Tractor Supply has over 1,176 stores in 45 states. They are focused on fulfilling the lifestyle needs of recreational farmers, ranchers, tradesmen and small businesses as well as those who enjoy the rural lifestyle. New England Retail Properties, Inc. encourages everyone in this marketplace to visit the new store upon its opening in late 2013.
In addition to Tractor Supply, there will be an 8,000 s/f retail pad that is currently available for lease and can support a multitude of uses. The development has excellent visibility from Rte. 2, Lake Hayward Rd. and New London Rd.
The property has been purchased by 4 Way Street, LLC. Mark D'Addabbo, developer and member of the LLC, has been involved with the entitlements necessary for the development of the property since 2010. During this time, he has worked hand in hand with the Town of Colchester, the State of Connecticut, the Department of Transportation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to approve and prepare the site for its intended use.
Everyone involved is enthusiastic about the development and believes that it will be very successful and a stepping stone for other developments. Jim Cassidy of Hallisey, Pearson & Cassidy is the civil engineer for the development. Mary Meehan of PeoplesBank in Holyoke, Mass. is financing the project.
Tom Moriarty of Moriarty, Paetzold & Sherwood represented the purchaser and Glenn Gordon of Chinigo, Leone & Maruzo represented the sellers, a local Colchester family.
