The New England SIOR Chapter members during the spring and summer of 2010 completed a number of major advisory and transactional assignments. Corporate America and regional tenants indicated that the SIORs are the premier brokers in the commercial/industrial New England real estate markets whom they entrust for expert knowledge and skills. The mid-summer 2010 deals totaled approximately 8,454,141 s/f of commercial real estate valued at approximately $142,818,165. * Mike Edward, SIOR of Lincoln Properties brokered two leases totaling 9,248 s/f of office space in the Boston Financial District. RiskMetrics Group signed a new lease for 3,460 s/f at 121 High St. Berkeley Investment renewed 5,788 s/f in the building. Edward also leased 12,943 s/f of office space at 99 Chauncy St., Boston to Massachusetts Law Reform, The Center for Law and Education and The Freedom Trail Foundation.
* Jeremy Freid, SIOR Candidate of Boston Realty Advisors, represented Benetemps, Inc. for 1,600 s/f of space at 200 Highland Ave., Needham. Freid also leased 4,717 s/f of space at 77 Charles St., Needham to G Medical LLC.
* Jim Elcock, SIOR of Meredith & Grew brokered 20,407 s/f in 5 leases at 300 Crown Colony, Quincy. The new tenants are MCMCLLC, Granite Medical Group, On Assignment, Inc., the Hanover Co. and Vive Communications. Elcock and Bill Lynch, SIOR Candidate also leased 42,832 s/f to Spectrum Microwave at 400 Nickerson Rd., Marlboro. Elcck negotiated the sale of a 58,000 s/f campus to the Carroll School in Waltham.
* Garry Holmes, SIOR of RW Holmes leased 18,000 s/f of office, R&D and production space at 55 Border St., Newton to Sloan Valve Co. Holmes also leased 10,000 s/f office/lab space to Soteira Inc. at 14 Tech Dr., Natick.
* Rob Nahigian, SIOR of Auburndale Realty Co. represented the buyer, Global Supply, in its purchase of 12,580 s/f industrial building in Woburn. The purchase price was $1,183,475. Nahigian also represented LivHome in its regional office lease of 2,500 s/f at River Place, Wellesley. He then leased 4,060 s/f of industrial space at 50 Brigham St., Marlboro to Insight Pest Solutions.
* Tom Moulton, SIOR of NAI/Dunham Group leased 2,850 s/f of office space at 39 Mechanic St. from T&T Development in Westbrook, Me. Moulton also leased 6,701 s/f of retailed space at 100 Fore St., Portland, Me. from Hope 1 LLC.
* Frank O'Connor, SIOR of Dunham Group leased 3,500 s/f of retail space at 90 Bridge St., Westbrook, Me. to Peekaboo Children's Center. O'Connor also assisted in the leasing of 3,000 s/f of retail at 645 Congress St., Portland, Me. to Local Sprouts Cooperative. He also leased 3,800 s/f of retail space at 380 Elm St. to America's Mattress.
* Greg Hastings, SIOR of Dunham Group leased 500 s/f of warehouse at 35 Bradley Dr., Westbrook, Me. to Fantini Bakery Co. Hastings also leased 6,700 s/f of warehouse to Freedom Xpress at 16 Johnson Rd., S. Portland. He leased 2,000 s/f of warehouse to Thermoformed Plastics of New England at 10 C Artic Circle, Biddeford, Me. Hastings also leased 20,000 s/f of warehouse space at 111 Pine Tree Pkwy., Portland, Me. to Good Shepard Food Bank.
* Tom Dunham, SIOR of the Dunham Group brokered 30,000 s/f of warehouse space at 70 Bennett Dr., Bangor, Me. Dunham also leased 5,625 s/f of office space to Mac-Gray at 5 Karen Dr., Westbrook, Me.
* Neil Amper, SIOR of Rodman RE leased 46,400 s/f of space to Robert Chemical at 330 Oak Hill, Attleboro. Amper also leased 4,500 s/f of space at 150 Lambert Lind Hwy. to Providence Bicycle in Warwick, R.I.
* Gerry Surprenant, SIOR of MG Commercial leased 2,880 s/f office building at 481 Kilvert. St., Warwick, R.I. to Macari law firm. Surprenant also sold a 6,200 s/f office condo at 2358 South County Trail, E. Greenwich, R.I. for $999,900. Surprenant also leased to Cavel USA 4,200 s/f at 1 Davol Sq., Providence, R.I.
* Drew Sigfridson, SIOR of CBRE Boulos, sold a 4,148 s/f office condo at 183 Middle St., to Morris Switzer-Buildings for Health, LLC. He also represented Hair X-Pressions in its 1,337 s/f hair salon lease at Edwards Block, Westbrook, Me. He then leased 2,865 s/f of office space to Saunders Bros. Sigfridson and Tony McDonald, SIOR also sold a 85,000 s/f office building to MaineHealth in Portland, Me. Sigfridson leased 6,750 s/f of office space at 63 Portland Rd., Kennebunk, Me. to Southern Mine Medical Center.
* Arlon Brown, SIOR of Parsons Commercial sold 1050-1080 University Ave., Norwood for $3.06 million. The building consists of 59,310 s/f of industrial space. Brown also sold 778 Pleasant St., Belmont, a 11,576 s/f retail building, for $1.45 million. The buyer was Colonial Automotive Group.
* Tom Farrelly, SIOR of Cushman & Wakefield represented The Timberland Co. in a lease of 246,000 s/f of office space at 200 Domain Dr., Stratham, N.H. He sold a 170 acre single parcel of retail land in Merrimack, N.H. for $17 million to Chelsea Properties.
* Wayne Spiegel, SIOR of Meredith & Grew leased 10,573 s/f of office space to M+W Zander US at 24 St. Martin Dr., Marlboro.
* Chip Detwiller, SIOR of RW Holmes leased 22,483 s/f at Forest Ridge Office Park, Billerica to NTP Software and Harvest Automation.
* Peter Hayes, SIOR of Hayes & Sherry leased 10,500 s/f of medical/office space to Hallett Diabetes and Rhode Island Hospital at 900 Warren, E. Providence, R.I.
