Stockholm-based BTS, a world leader in customized business simulation software, has renewed its lease on the fourth floor of 300 First Stamford Place for the second time since its tenancy began at the trophy property more than a decade ago, according to Jeffrey Newman, executive vice president of W&M Properties, the marketing and management agent for the building.
The firm, whose software products help corporations develop business strategies, signed the renewal five months ahead of lease expiration and will remain in the 6,649 s/f space through 2016.
"My client analyzed all of its options and determined that remaining at First Stamford Place provided the best combination of a complete amenities package and attractive occupancy costs," said Stephen Baker, senior director at Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut, who represented BTS.
Newman and assistant vice president Kathleen Caracappa represented the landlord in the transaction.
In 2003, First Stamford Place won The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Award, in the mid-rise suburban office complex category, from the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)
First Stamford Place is a three-building, 810,000 s/f multi-tenanted office complex, located at I-95's exit 7 adjacent to the Stamford Transportation Center, which has completed a $95 million enhancement program.
W&M Properties is the real estate management, marketing and acquisition arm of the Malkin family, which has commercial and residential operations in seven states.
