Sanford, LP, part of consumer products giant Newell Rubbermaid and manufacturer of such brands as Sharpie markers and Paper Mate pens, has signed a lease for 6,657 s/f on the fourth floor at MerrittView, according to Jeffrey Newman, executive vice president of Malkin Properties, the marketing and managing agent for the building.
"The quality of a tenant reflects the quality of a building," said Newman. "And high-quality tenants such as Sanford are drawn to Malkin Properties' trophy buildings by the great amenities, convenient locations, turnkey services and strong financial ownership. We are pleased to welcome Sanford to the MerrittView tenant roster."
Malkin Construction will build out the space for the new tenant.
Newman and senior leasing associate Kimberly Zaccagnino represented the landlord in the transaction. Sean Cahill and Sue Dengenis of CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant.
