Newmark Knight Frank brokered three leases totaling more than 8,692 s/f at The Anchorage, a four-story office building with water views and amenity rich features at 660 Steamboat Rd. The deals underscore the building's attention to tenants' needs and its location with vistas of Greenwich Harbor and the Long Island Sound.
Cairn Capital, a London-based asset management firm, signed a long-term lease for 3,151 s/f on the second floor that offers views of the harbor. "This is Cairn Capital's first venture into the U.S. After searching for office space for six months, the firm selected 660 Steamboat Rd. for its U.S. headquarters because of the location, the flexibility afforded by the open plan space, the terrific views of the water, and the response of ownership," said Newmark Knight Frank managing principal Steve Banker, who represents the owners, Stuart and Steve Berni, with managing directors Paul Gojkovich and James Ritman.
Sidney Frank Importing Co., Inc. also inked a new two-year lease for a 1,205 s/f executive office on the first floor. Based in New Rochelle, N.Y., the family-owned company imports, brokers and distributes distilled beverages throughout the U.S. and employs more than 150 people.
In addition to the Sidney Frank and Cairn Capital leases, longtime tenant Withers Bergman, LLP, signed a three-year extension to its existing lease for 4,336 s/f on the first floor. The company is an international law firm with offices in London, Milan, Geneva, Hong Kong, New Haven, New York and Greenwich. The firm has been a tenant at The Anchorage since 2005.
Newmark Knight Frank's Banker, Gojkovich and Ritman represented both parties in the Sidney Frank transaction. Paul Tortora, a senior vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle, represented Withers Bergman in the transaction, while Michael Nelson, a vice president at CB Richard Ellis, represented Cairn Capital.
A premier boutique office, The Anchorage offers a "Lifestyle Feeling" consistent with Fairfield County's reputation as a highly desirable place to live and work. The private shuttle provides quick service to the Metro North train station, and the Delamar Hotel and Greenwich Ave.
