Nordblom Company has completed an 8,500 s/f lease with Webber Restaurant Group at 3rd Ave. for The Bancroft. Located off of Middlesex Tpke., 3rd Ave. is the dining and entertainment heart of the 4.6 million s/f Northwest Park mixed-use redevelopment. The 3rd Ave. retail walking street will be anchored by Wegmans and KINGS Bowl.
"We are excited to welcome Webber Restaurant Group to 3rd Ave", said Douglas Wynyard, senior VP for Nordblom. "This group has an excellent track record of executing sophisticated restaurant concepts and the Burlington market is anxiously awaiting the arrival of The Bancroft, Webber's high-end steakhouse, at the gateway of the 3rd Ave. development."
The Webber Restaurant Group owns the Gibbet Hill Grill in Groton, the Scarlet Oak Tavern in Hingham, and Fireside Catering in Burlington.
It is a pioneer in the farm-to-restaurant movement, being one of the only restaurant groups in the country that includes a farm - the 100-acre Gibbet Hill Farm in Groton - as a part of its organization. The Bancroft will be the Webbers' interpretation of a high-end steakhouse, bringing a more inventive, seasonal, locally-sourced menu than a traditional steakhouse, with ambiance and décor that will appeal to a more youthful, urban crowd.
3rd Ave., a unique addition to the Rte. 128 corridor, and part of the Burlington market featuring some of the strongest retail demographics in New England with affluent neighbors and a strong daytime population. The development is easily accessible to major area roadways, and is bounded by Rte. 3, the Middlesex Tpke. and Rte. 128/I-95. 3rd Ave. is being developed as a downtown retail environment with 300,000 s/f of retail space in a boulevard layout. Restaurants, cafes, retail boutiques and other service amenities will line the boulevard, with a focus on pedestrian walkways and public green space.
