North Branch starts phase 2 of jail expansion

North Branch Construction, Inc., acting construction manager agent (CMA), broke ground for phase 2 of construction at the Sullivan County Community Corrections Center. This phase will add 20,000 s/f to the existing jail facility. The expansion was designed by Sheerr McCrystal Palson of New London. The wood framed, 1 and 2 story addition will also include 70 additional beds. Phase 2 will be completed in mid 2010. Phase I, renovations and upgrades to the existing facility which is about 80% complete, began in late June 2009 and will be completed by year end.
