Northgate Professional Center signs two tenants

A Western Massachusetts health network and a Connecticut-based employment agency have opened new downtown offices at Northgate Professional Center, 1985 Main St. Tapestry Health Care Systems has relocated its Springfield Health Services Clinic to 2,500 s/f of first floor frontage in the 45,000 s/f development, while Monroe Staffing Services opened its first Massachusetts office in 1,400 s/f, comprising the one remaining vacancy in Northgate's attached three-story office building. Northgate was built as a retail strip center in the 1960s, and has been converted to a medical and professional office facility over the past three years, according to owner Andrew Cohen. In 2007, the center underwent extensive exterior renovations and parking lot improvements. Two first floor vacancies remain at Northgate, Cohen said. Other tenants include Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics, The Apothecary, Northgate Dental Center, the U.S. Veterans Administration, New England Business Association, Insurance Fraud Bureau, Apex Healthcare, Northgate Spine & Injury Center, H&R Block and O'Brien Physical Therapy.
