Oleson of Tocci receives IRMI’s CRIS designation

Woburn, MA Lindsay Oleson, accounting manager for Tocci Building Companies (Tocci), received the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation. Developed by the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI), this insurance designation recognizes specialized expertise in construction insurance and risk management.

“It is important to Tocci that everyone within our organization understand risk management and how to effectively mitigate challenges faced by our clients in the construction industry,” said Bud LaRosa, chief business performance officer at Tocci. “The CRIS designation confirms this dedication to our clients and subcontractors, and the continuing education requirements ensure longstanding credibility.”

“With more than 10 years of experience in the construction industry, I understand the importance associated with obtaining and maintaining proper insurance coverage,” said Lindsay.” This designation allowed me to expand on my current knowledge base and keep my team up-to-date and informed on trends and changes in the industry.”

IRMI works to simplify the management of risk by sharing wisdom through easy access to unbiased information. IMRI’s CRIS designation makes it easier for insurance agents, brokers, customer service representatives, and in-house risk managers or insurance buyers to gain specialized expertise in construction insurance and risk management. Obtaining the CRIS certification increases the competence and credibility of insurance professionals who sell, underwrite, or purchase insurance for contractors. Construction insurance buyers who obtain the certification have the knowledge to make wise insurance and risk management decisions for their employers.
