Pereira named president of the Greater Providence Board of Realtors

Mike Pereira

Providence, RI Mike Pereira, of HomeSmart Professionals in Warwick, was installed as the 114th president of the Greater Providence Board of Realtors on September 16, at the Squantum Association in Riverside. He previously served as the board’s president-elect, treasurer and corporate secretary. He is a member of its executive, finance and nominating committees. Pereira is also a director of the Rhode Island Association of Realtors.

The following officers were installed as well: President-elect, Rita Danielle Steele of Steele Realty Consultants, LLC; treasurer, Matthew Phipps of Phipps Realty; corporate secretary, Kevin Shepherd of Steele Realty Consultants, LLC.

The board also installed the following directors: Samuel Alba of RE/MAX Innovations; Agueda Del Borgo of Places & Spaces Realty, LLC; Victoria Doran of RE/MAX River’s Edge; Samantha Durand of HomeSmart Professionals; Diana Kryston of Century 21 Butterman & Kryston; Brenda Marchwicki of BisMarc Properties; Salvatore Moio of Henry W. Cooke Company; John Moretti of Williams & Stuart Real Estate; Tim O’Keefe of RE/MAX River’s Edge; Don Parsons of Cullinan Real Estate; Rickard Smith of HomeSmart Professionals Real Estate; and Aleen Weiss of Spitz-Weiss, Realtors.

Additionally, the board recognized its 2020 Realtor of the Year Matthew Phipps, of Phipps Realty in East Greenwich. The 2020 Lear Award was presented to Agueda Del Borgo of Places & Spaces Realty, LLC in Providence. This award is presented by the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS® annually to a member who has actively volunteered with the Board for the betterment of the Association and industry.

The Greater Providence Board of REALTORS® is a chartered member Board of the National Association of REALTORS®. It was established in 1907 and serves over 2,000 REALTORS®, Appraisers and Affiliate members throughout the Greater Providence area.
