Pinsky of Tighe & Bond elected ACEC/MA board of directors - secretary

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Massachusetts (ACEC/MA) elected David Pinsky, P.E. to the organization's board of directors. He assumes the role of secretary for Fiscal Year 2014. Pinsky became Tighe & Bond's president and chief executive officer in 2006, and has worked at the firm since 1988. As president, he serves as Tighe & Bond's external spokesman and is responsible for the firm's vision, strategy, and growth. Over the course of his career, he has directed many of Tighe & Bond's largest public sector projects. This includes overseeing a multitude of municipal water resource projects associated with drinking water supply, treatment, and distribution, as well as water treatment facility upgrades and new facility planning. A professional engineer for more than 25 years, he holds a master of science degree in environmental engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of N.H. He is licensed in Mass., Conn., N.H., and several other states. He is also a member of numerous professional societies and organizations for the engineering profession, such as the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the Mass. Water Works Assn. (MWWA), and the New England Water Works Assn. (NEWWA). A frequent speaker at AWWA and NEWWA programs, he has authored numerous technical publications, served on the AWWA Coagulation and Filtration Committee, and chaired the NEWWA Filtration Committee for 11 years. He also has previously served on the board of directors for the Westfield Chapter of the Red Cross. ACEC/MA is the business association of the Mass. and R.I. engineering profession, representing over 110 independent engineering companies engaged in the development of transportation, environmental, industrial, and other infrastructure. Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Boston, ACEC/MA is a member organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) based in Washington, DC. ACEC is a national federation of 51 state and regional organizations.
