Polyglass U.S.A., Inc., a manufacturer of modified bitumen membranes and roof coatings in the commercial and residential roofing industry, launched its most recent Kool Roof Solution at the 2013 International Roofing Expo held in San Antonio, Polyreflect modified bitumen membrane. This self-adhered, white, reflective cap sheet features a specialized surface that consists of a tri-laminate film resulting in a reflective, smooth surfaced, quality roofing membrane. Polyreflect's Energy Star approved film surface is listed with the Cool Roof Rating Council with a Solar Reflectivity of 85 and total Solar Reflective Index of 105.
The tri-laminate film surface has several unique properties that provide for exceptional performance. As a result, Polyreflect membrane achieves superior fire burn results and has a Class A rating for up to a 3" slope; demonstrates exceptional UV resistance and durability; and is manufactured with an environmentally friendly, solvent-free surface, meeting EPA standards.
Polyreflect is a sustainable roofing membrane and can be revitalized after many years of use with an application of Polyglass' Polybrite 70 elastomeric roof coating, adding years to the life of the roof. Polyreflect cap sheet features patented ADESO Technology, a unique dual-compound technology using an APP or SBS formulation on the topside and an aggressive self-adhered formulation on the bottom side of the reinforcement. ADESO Technology integrates patented features that enhance lap sealing.
When used as a cap sheet in a multi-ply roofing system, Polyreflect provides redundant waterproofing protection, and as part of a Polyglass approved system can be warranted for up to 20 years for leak free protection.
