Construction is on schedule for three new apartment buildings located in the Rosemont Sq. community. The new development will complement the existing 384 garden-style apartment units at Rosemont Sq., which are also undergoing renovations. Pro Con Inc of Manchester, N.H. is the general contractor for 120 new apartment homes. The community is being developed by The Praedium Group, a New York City-based national real estate investment firm and its partner, Beacon Communities of Boston, residential real estate owners, developers and managers. Davis Square Architects of Somerville, MA is the project architect and Stantec Consulting of Boston is the landscape architect.
"We are installing the interior finishes including cabinets and flooring in the first building and expect the model unit to be open in early August," said the project manager for Pro Con. "We are on target for a September completion for the first building."
Each of the 840 s/f, one-bedroom apartments will feature a fully furnished kitchen with Energy Star appliances, washer and dryer, and individual balconies with sliding glass doors.
Construction on the 120,000 s/f residential project began in December 2011. The first building will be ready for occupancy this month, the other two buildings will be completed by the end of October.
Six of the units will be accessible apartments and some units will have open kitchen floor plans. The new apartments will be located in three, four-story garden-style buildings with elevators.
Rosemont Sq. is a rental community with first rate amenities including a new clubhouse with a pool and fitness center that was completed in 2010. Rosemont Sq. is situated on 38 acres in a quiet residential setting and is conveniently located near Boston, major highways, fine dining, shopping and entertainment.
