Last night’s Honoree Awards Gala was a huge success. This annual awards dinner was changed up a bit this year. In place of honoring TOBY winners, Southern CT BOMA was pleased to host Jason Roberts, the founder of the Oak Cliff Transit Authority, originator of the Better Block Project, co-founder of the Art Conspiracy and Bike Friendly Oak Cliff.  Jason’s presentation on how cities can improve, block by block, was both informational and entertaining.  He stressed “just do it” and showed how communities that work together can achieve improved living/working/playing areas.

The annual awards were also presented to Deb Korf - Member of the Year, Paul Senecal - Allied Member of the Year, Building & Land Technology - Corporation of the Year, and John Renda - Engineer of the Year.   

As with any organization, those who continually renew their membership, stay involved and committed deserve special recognition.  Being recognized last night were the 10 members of the Association with 20+ years in Southern CT BOMA.

Thanks to the over 150 members and their guests who attended the event. It was a great evening of networking, laughs, applause, and appreciation for those who give their time, energy and financial support to the Association.
