Gateway Building on the campus of The Derryfield School - Manchester, NH

Pro Con Inc completed the new 8,132 s/f Gateway Building on the campus of The Derryfield School in advance of the students returning to classes in September. Lavallee Brensinger Architects was the project architect and Pro Con was the construction manager for the $1.2 million project, which was funded in part through a grant from N.H. Community Development Finance Authority. The Gateway Building is located on River Rd. and is considered to be the "front door" to the school.
The 2-level building has two classroom/seminar spaces, offices for Breakthrough Manchester at The Derryfield School, administrative support space for the school's community service and global education programs, and improved admission, business office and advancement spaces. New paved pathways connect the Gateway Building to the other campus facilities and new rock retaining walls compliment the landscaping.
"The Gateway Building was designed and constructed using energy efficient specifications to reduce energy consumption," said the project manager for Pro Con Inc. "The building's green features include a TPO roof, high R value insulation and Energy Star appliances."
