The NYLO Warwick, a new lifestyle hotel being built at the corner of Knight St. and Greenwich Ave. is nearing completion. Pro Con Inc. of Manchester, N.H. is the construction manager of the 82,200 s/f loft-style hotel and Forum Studio Inc. of St. Louis is the project architect. The 164-room hotel, which is being developed by NYLO Hotels LLC of Atlanta, overlooks the scenic Pawtuxet River and is located 2 miles from the TF Green International Airport.
"All the windows have been installed and we are finishing the masonry," said the project manager for Pro Con Inc. "The interior sheet rock is being hung and the MEP is in the final stages. We are on target for the July completion date."
The hotel features loft accommodations; business center, fitness room and 24-hour healthy-alternative restaurant and bar. NYLO Hotel will cater to business travelers seeking an alternative to the traditional mid-priced hotels.
The five-story NYLO Warwick will feature the brand's urban loft design with brick and glass exteriors, expansive lobby area, and exposed brick and polished concrete walls in the guestrooms. The guest lofts will also feature oversized windows to maximize daylight, custom designed furnishings, and tech amenities include complimentary high-speed and wireless Internet access, large flat screen TV, MP3 capabilities and plug-ins linking iPODS and computers to the television.
The Loft, the hotel's common area, has been designed to be a place where guests can relax, eat, drink, work or play. The centerpiece of the area will be its bar and restaurant, which will be open 24-hours per day. The hotel will also offer a 24-hour business center, library, game room, and several meeting rooms with the latest audio and visual technology, as well as, a fitness center with cardio equipment, free weights changing rooms and saunas.
The hotel will be the anchor tenant in the multi-use redevelopment of Pontiac Mills, a 19th century textile mill. Pontiac Mills is near malls and businesses and golf courses, marinas and beaches on Narragansett Bay are nearby.
Pro Con Inc. began site work on the project in July 2007 and has scheduled a July completion date for the hotel. The Warwick NYLO hotel is the second NYLO property; the first NYLO hotel is in Plano, Texas.
