Brightview Danvers, an independent and assisted living community, in collaboration with Pro Con, Inc., the construction manager for the community, recently hosted the project's "Topping off Ceremony" at 50 Endicott St. Guests signed the final steal beam and watched as it was hoisted onto the assisted living building of the community, designed by JSA Architects.
Representatives from Partners Home Care, Partners Health Systems, North Shore Medical Center, Masconoment Healthcare Center, JRC Swampscott, Hospice of the North Shore, North Shore Elder Services, and the First Baptist Church in Beverly were in attendance.
"From idea to actual construction, it is wonderful to see a new part of the community begin to take root," said Beth DiMarzo, executive director, Brightview Danvers. "When we open mid-2008 and are able to provide our senior living lifestyle to local seniors, it will be a true milestone."
Brightview at Danvers will have 160 units including 88 apartments for independent living, 48 apartments for assisted living and 24 apartments for Alzheimer's and dementia care. The apartments will range in size from 300 to 950-s/f and offer the residents a variety of floor plans and care options.
Pro Con Inc began site work on the Brightview Danvers project in May 2007 and has scheduled a June 2008 completion date.
Brightview, a leased community, will offer residents age 62 and older a social environment where housekeeping, cooking, transportation, and maintenance are provided by staff members 24 hours a day. Just a few of the amenities the community will feature include a movie theater, wellness center, hair salon, fine dining, pub, billiards room, library and internet café.
