PROCON's 126-unit Madbury Commons project nears completion

August 06, 2015 - Northern New England

Madbury Commons - Durham, NH

PROCON moves the Madbury Commons project towards the completion of 2 student housing buildings. The complex features 126 furnished apartments offering full kitchens, air conditioning, washer/dryers, living areas and a variety of floor plans.
Golden Goose Capital of Westford, Mass. developed the 2-building multi-purpose complex sitting on 2.6 acres, that once contained housing for 150 students. PROCON of Manchester is the construction manager for this project that began in June, 2014.
Building A comprised of 169,000 s/f is in mid-installation of flooring, painting and final finishes. Building B with 39,000 s/f is now 100% framed, the roofing is in place and the electrical and plumbing work is underway. In spite of the harsh winter conditions, PROCON expects the project to be delivered on time for the students to return in the fall. PROCON's project manager said, "Even with one of the harshest winters on record we've managed to keep both buildings moving forward, with the target completion date around the corner and still on schedule to welcome UNH students for the fall semester."
TMS Architects of Portsmouth is the architect for the project, and Kennebunk Savings leads the financing. Both buildings are on target for an August 31st completion.
